A Ball Pen Upside Down = HID?

Just writing down what I thought of today:

Imagine a huge ball pen with the ball on the top (with no ink of course).

You can spin the ball with your thumb and it’ll translate the spin into mouse movement. Push the ball to left-click. That would be so comfortable.

I’ll never do that though I guess…

Projects I’d Love To Do But…

- a CNC mil is too expensive I guess…however a friend of mine would be interested in that, too

- a hardware drive emulator (like reading ISOs from SD card) is too hard for me i guess, SATA1 basefreq is 1500MHz!? however I wanted to get into FPGA (VHDL) dev, I have no idea if that stuff is possible with a cheap CPLD/FPGA but I doubt it

- a robot is something I could do…I’ll think about it as soon as I’ve enough money, however, a 32bit CPU (ARM?) would be usefull with that

Software PS/2 On A Pic

Well, at least the send byte things works very well. And the Saleae Logic is worth it’s money.
