Late Enough Huh?!

It works. It finally works. Development is not yet over but the software is almost done. I’ve got to re-think about the delays to make it work a little smoother, but that’s only to make things perfect. There is dual analog, home button, all the controlls, everything you can think of. The next thing is about some hardware, isn’t it? Mhm, another expensive part :( .

It Basically…

works! Further information to follow later.

Syscon Hook…

…works. Well, the hook works. That offers me the ability to change EVERY recognized button value. Even if games have their own ctrl module, they HAVE to get the data from the syscon, and I can change the syscon’s data. Still the controller’s datas are not being recognized. I hope for a fix at the weekend.

Still Not Working

Right. Still I don’t know how to make every game read the simulated buttonpresses. Maybe setting my code as a syscon debughandler works, can’t get this compiled though :( .

Good For Me…

…bad for you! It turned out that I can’t get enough power from the PSPs SIO port. The good thing about that is, I don’t have to care about the power, you’ll need a battery anyways. And, that makes my board cheaper since the power boost is arount 5€, the voltage regulator only 0.50€. So, there’s one problem left with the hardware, that’s the cable. But hey, there’s a much bigger problem, the plugin!

Game Mode…

…doesn’t work very well. But it works. A little bit.

Some More Work

I built this perfekt, great looking camera stand of the best pieces of wood I could get. Ha, naah, actually it’s ugly and you can see it a little when making a video and it’s not very stable but it does it’s job:

Apart from that I got my plugin working in game mode, though there is some trouble with the sceCtrlReadBufferNegative/sceCtrlPeekBufferNegative functions. I’ll make another video as soon as I handled this, and then it’s only about making a nice looking board.

Just To Show You…

…how it works:

UPDATE: Fixed some bugs regarding error handling.

UPDATE: I’ll completely rewrite the plugin to get rid of those nasty delays.

UPDATE: Okay, plugin works so far, no bugs, no freezes, delays are very short. Still no operation in game mode though. No idea how to fix that! :(

yay :]

Hook plugin basically works. Have to add analog sticks and the hooks needed for games. And of course clean up the code. Then it’s time to make a little board :) .

URGH!

AVR code seems to have a bug causing resets sometimes. Have to fix that. No idea what the problem is though. Have to check the ISRs. PSP code doesn’t rly work either. Hooking plugin doesn’t seem to be able to get a stable connection to the serial port. I quickly made a test app now, just to show that it will work. Watch it, rate it, comment it!

EDIT: Okay, i guess I fixed the reset thing. Polling the PS2 port may not be interrupted by TX ISR ;) .
